Dr. Zahedi received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of California San Francisco. Afterward, he moved to Seattle and received his certificate in Periodontics and implant surgery and earned a Master of Science in Dentistry from the University of Washington. He has also received certificates in Periodontics and Advanced Implantology from the University of California Los Angeles and Esthetics in oral implantology from New York University. Before moving to the United States, he also earned his first DDS and MS degrees in his native country. In addition, he has completed the proficiency Dental Laser course for laser assisting new attachment procedure (LANAP®) and is a certified clinician by Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry.

His fields of interest are dental implants and periodontal regeneration. He has published several papers in multiple journals in the field of hard and soft tissue augmentation and implant site development. His philosophy in periodontal treatment is to strive for perfection by combining patients` needs and desires with state-of-the-art techniques and materials to achieve esthetic, predictable clinical outcomes.

Dr. Zahedi is a Board Certified in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery by the American Board of Periodontology. It is the highest academic achievement to be obtained in the specialty of periodontology and implant surgery. Furthermore, he is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry which symbolizes the highest level of competence and proficient skills in both the surgical and restorative aspects of implant dentistry. Dr. Zahedi is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

On a personal note, he enjoys his free time climbing, mountaineering, skiing and skydiving.
