It is now a legal requirement for patients to understand the risks of opioid-based pain medication and their high abuse potential. Please read the following BEFORE taking the following type of medication following surgery:
Norco
Hydrocodone
Oxycodone
Morphine
Hydromorphone
or any other opiate-based pain medication.
This handout will cover the proper storage, disposal, and use of these medications.
