Dr. Jenna Cha was born and raised in South Korea and moved to the United States with her mother while she was in high school. Growing up, she was highly influenced by her mother, a registered nurse whose notable work ethics and passion in helping others drove her to specialize in hemodialysis. Her mother's professional background sparked Dr. Cha's interest in choosing a career in dentistry. 

She finished her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Biological Sciences, cum laude, at the University of the Pacific in 3 years and then went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with Honors at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni, School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California. She fell in love with periodontal surgery as she was shadowing her mother's periodontist while in dental school. Being the only applicant for periodontics residency in her class, she managed to do multiple periodontal surgeries in a dental school clinic before entering her residency. 

Dr. Cha then completed an advanced specialty training program in Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) School of Dentistry in Portland, Oregon. She was a recipient of the Best Resident Research Award at OHSU. While at OHSU, she earned her Master's degree in Periodontics and presented & published her Master's research through the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants (IJOMI). Dr. Cha is  Board Certified in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery. She is also a member of American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration and American Dental Association.

Dr. Cha enjoys a variety of periodontal and implant procedures, in particular, gingival/bone augmentation and sinus lift surgery with simultaneous implant placement. Her absolute priorities in these complex treatments are the well-being of her patients, excellent surgery outcome, and comfortable patient recovery. She strives to build quality doctor-patient relationships to ensure that these procedures are successful and that each of her patients can enjoy their life-changing results.

Besides work, Dr. Cha loves rainy days under the PNW clouds enjoying a cup of coffee or catching up on the latest shows. A fresh trail for hiking and chasing waterfalls is all the excuse she needs to enjoy the outdoors with a few friends.
